A full motion mount was selected for flexible viewing from the open loft's multiple zones. A power outlet was installed behind the TV to keep the cord hidden against the concrete surface.
Installation Details
The full motion mount was anchored to the concrete wall using heavy-duty concrete wedge anchors. The TV was positioned at 45 inches from floor to screen center. The articulating arm extends 22 inches from the concrete surface and swivels to serve the main seating area, the kitchen island, and a home office nook. A recessed power outlet was installed behind the TV.
Professional Techniques Used
A rotary hammer drill with SDS-plus carbide bits was used to bore precise holes into the poured concrete without cracking. Concrete wedge anchors rated for over 200 pounds of shear force were inserted and torqued. The full motion arm was load-tested at full extension. A recessed electrical outlet was installed by routing conduit along the concrete surface to the nearest circuit, then concealed behind the TV's footprint.
